As an Indigenous Latina raised in a rural area of the desert in New Mexico, nature was heavily integrated into all aspects of life—healing and nature were interlaced—I approach my work as a therapist with this foundation and have a deep appreciation for the effectiveness of nature-based therapy as a tool in the healing process. I attended Brown School of Social Work at Washington University where I obtained my Master of Social Work. I have worked with individuals of all ages as a therapist in non-profit, residential, hospital, academic, and various other mental health settings. I have completed advanced trainings in diverse clinical approaches and participate in ongoing training on the most current nature-based therapy interventions and practices. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Missouri.
